The thing about the newest entry to the franchise is that where it improves, it’s subtle, but when it fails, those problems are glaring. I’ve been playing it since then on and off, and I now feel well qualified enough to tell you about the ways The Sims 4 improves on the life-sim formula, and also the places where it misses the mark.
